4 Signs Your Dog Thinks Of You As Mom Or Dad

  1. They’re protective of you (especially around strangers): A dog’s natural instinct is to protect their pack. If they see you as part of that pack, they will be protective of you.
  2. They’re attached to you: A dog’s attachment to their owner is similar to a child’s attachment to their parent.
  3. They look to you for guidance: Dogs see you as their leader, rely on you for direction and feel more secure when they’re near you.
  4. They follow your instructions: Dogs only obey commands from people they respect and they see that person as an authority figure.

Things your dog does to show you’re its parent

  • Protection: Signs your dog is protective of you could include barking at strangers or trying to keep you safe from danger.
  • Attachment: If your dog is always happy to see you, follows you around, loves to lean or sleep on you, it’s a sign they are attached to you.
  • Guidance: If your dog is always constantly checking to see where you are and what you’re doing, they look to you for guidance.
  • Instruction: If your dog listens to your commands and obeys you, they see you as their leader and parent.

TikTok user shares dog tips with Dachsunds

The viral video was uploaded by a TikTok user called @digitdax back in July and is circling social media again months later.

She has two adorable Miniature Dachsund sisters and documents their daily life as well as sharing dog-related hacks and tips.

They live in the UK and one of their most viral videos is a clip about six things that could be hurting your dog’s feelings.

Some of them include being angry at your pooch, pushing them away and taking food away while they’re eating.
