Best Disney Plus shows - originals and returning favourites

Picking up after the dramatic events of Hawkeye, this latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe should provide the grit that fans of the now-cancelled Netflix shows always appreciated.

This time, Alaqua Cox takes centre stage as Maya Lopez (aka Echo), who recently discovered her adoptive father, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), played a role in her biological dad’s murder.

Their relationship is explored further in this five-part miniseries, which is the first of Marvel’s Disney Plus originals to drop all at once as a bingeable box set – no agonising week-long waits!

As part of the new Marvel Spotlight banner, this show is intended to be more of a character study than a tease of things to come, although executive producer Brad Winderbaum has hinted at more stories for iconic villain Kingpin.
