Black Hawk College hosts event for careers in emergency work

Black Hawk College introduced some high school and college students to careers in emergency work.

The college hosted its fourth annual First Responders Appreciation and Criminal Justice Career Exploration Day. More than 100 students and 18 agencies showed up to share information about career opportunities.

The program included workshops on first aid and tours of armored rescue vehicles and fire trucks.
