Village Manager of Spring Lake in Michigan, Christine Burns died unexpectedly Wednesday night, September 27, the village officials announced in a statement on Thursday.

Her cause of death was not mentioned.

“We are sad to share the Village Manager Christine Burns passed away (Wednesday, Sept. 27),” the village announced in a statement. “Christine, or Chris, as she was known to many, served the community with relentless positivity and passion. She will be greatly missed.”

Burns served as Spring Lake’s village manager since 2012 after serving the city of Cedar Springs for more than five years and the village of Oxford for almost two years.
