On November 27, people will remember a young woman from Jacksonville who was brutally killed in her apartment the day after Thanksgiving in 1998. This will be the 23rd time that people have done this. On Thanksgiving night, she went out with her friends to celebrate and didn’t get back to her apartment until about 1 a.m.

In 2016, Dateline’s Rear Window showed updates on the killings of Corey Parker. It was the first time that the public knew about the horrible death of the young woman. But some people say that her outgoing personality could have been mistaken for liking, which may have led to her death.
