Cristiano Ronaldo has been dubbed the sexiest athlete alive, but the football star didn’t always look like a Greek god.
Ronaldo may have unbelievable skills on the field, but there’s no denying some of his fame is thanks to his good looks. He’s the sixth highest-paid footballer in the world at £385,000 per week, but combine that with endorsements and modelling jobs, he is among the richest athletes in the world – he raked in more than $100 million (£83 million) in 2021.
Like most of us, the 37-year-old had a glow up and photos of him during his early football days prove he wasn’t always Sexiest Man material.
He had a major smile makeover
Dr Vikas Prinja, also known as thelondondentist on TikTok, analysed Ronaldo’s perfect smile in a recent video, revealing the athlete’s dramatic transformation.
Referring to an old photo of the footballer, Prinja claims he had a missing tooth, staining, a low gum line, and uneven teeth. Ronaldo allegedly started with ceramic braces to align his teeth and made the gap slightly bigger ideally for a replacement tooth later on.
The dentist continues: “While he was waiting for his braces to finish, he had a pontic added, which is a fake tooth that’s bonded on to the metal wire of his braces.”
“Once his braces were complete, he had gum surgery and implants to replace the missing tooth, and veneers.”
