Danstan Omari was born on 6 December 1964, his birthplace was Nyabite village, Nyamira county, Kenya. According to his birth date, Danstan is 58 years old now. Danstan is a well-known Kenyan lawyer, who has represented former Chief Justice David Maraga, deputy president William Ruto, and politicians and was a lawyer to the late Tob Cohen (still representing his family in the succession case and the murder trial).  

Danstan was born to his late mother Milka Kemunto Mogaka and his late father Elkana Mogaka.

Danstan Omari’s Education

The prominent lawyer Danstan attended Nyamira Primary School. He managed to score 19 out of 36 points in the national examination. Later, He joined Kiabonyoru High School where he studied with Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.

Danstan attended a place at Kenyatta University, where he received a Bachelor of Education degree in 1990 but he wanted to study law.

Later, In 2008, Omari graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in law and enrolled himself in the Kenya School of Law in 2009. After 6 months, he joined for a Master of Law degree at the University of Nairobi.

He later went to Japan for a 3 months study program on Juvenile Delinquency all while still studying law and on 2 December 2011, Danstan graduated with a Master of Law.

In 1986, Danstan started teaching as an inexperienced teacher at a school in South Mugirango, and later, he teach at Kiabonyoru High School.

In 1987, Omari joined National Youth Service for an intensive 3 months of training before he finally joined the university.

Danstan then went to Nairobi and he was able to secure a job in Nyeri as a hotel manager. He worked there for 6 months before securing a job as a manager of a club in Nairobi.

In 2004, Danstan applied to the University of Nairobi, and on 4 November 2011, Omari was admitted as an advocate. The lawyer Danstan then gets a job as a lecturer of law at Catholic University.

At the Catholic university, Omari teaches criminal law, jurisprudence, professional ethics, and the trial and rights of a child.

Omari has become a household name for representing females dumped with their ‘baby daddies’.
