Dying Light 2 February 23 Xbox Update Patch Notes

Techland, the developers behind the recently released Dying Light 2, has released patch notes for an update coming to the game on Xbox consoles. A similar update was rolled out on PlayStation just yesterday. While it doesn’t look like all of the issues have been fixed with the game’s latest update, it’s a good start.

Since the game’s launch on February 4, players across all consoles have suffered from several bugs and issues which have made Dying Light 2 nearly unplayable. Techland has been hard at work this week trying to rectify those issues. The new update fixes problems such as bugs causing an infinite death-loop, input lag, fast travel issues, and more.

Xbox Fixes and Improvements

• Fixed the death-loop issues. New cases shouldn’t appear anymore and the old ones should be resolved.
• Added Backup Save system that allows you to roll back your progress (including inventory) to the last working story savepoint.
• Fixed input lag and controller connection issues that occurred when playing with high framerates on XSX.
• Fixed the sounds causing loud buzzing and static noises.
• Fixed fast travel. Now works as intended after the main story has been finished.
• Added stability improvements, including online sessions.

The action RPG survival horror game Dying Light 2 follows the character Aiden Caldwell as he attempts to survive a zombie-filled post-apocalyptic world. Caldwell utilizes his various parkour skills to climb, slide and leap as he evades hordes of walking dead. Players are equipped with tools such as a grappling hook and a paraglider to explore Dying Light 2‘s open world. Most of the game’s weapons are melee-based, although crossbows, shotguns, and spears are also available.

Dying Light 2 is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
