On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, a high-speed vehicle crash left a community in Inwood in mourning. Adames and Fernandez were two of the horrifying incident’s victims.

According to reports, the victims were standing near the intersection where two fast cars had collided.
Five vehicles were damaged, according to Pix New York, when a Subaru heading west and a BMW heading north collided. Fernandez and Adames were walking on the sidewalks when the Subaru was launched onto them by the collision. The event was timely captured by a surveillance camera.
The accident victim, who was well-known in the Inwood neighbourhood, was seriously hurt and passed away right afterwards.
Around noon on Wednesday, an hour after the collision, a memorial of candles, flowers, and pictures of the men started to form at the intersection of 207th Street and Sherman Avenue.
Five additional people suffered serious injuries as a result of the head-on collision between two cars. The police will give further information in the coming days.

Yesterday in Inwood, I noticed an NYPD tow vehicle driving past a group of them. They ought to all be ticketed or hauled.
In a social media message, Cardi B honoured Adames and Fernandez
Cardi B, a rapper and singer, also paid tribute to her two pals on social media. “Stupidity, negligence, I hope the worst to who done this,” she added. Moreover, the rapper stated. “Took someone so incredibly adored, vibrant, and all-around beautiful, and left people to ruin.” JOEL, RIP.
David Fernandez and Joel Adames: Who Were They?
Joel Adames, 31, is a native of Manhattan, and David Fernandez, 40, is from the Bronx. Both of them were well-known salsa dancers who performed all around New York.
David, also known as “David The Dancer,” was a hairdresser and salsa instructor. He was a teacher to many New Yorkers and a previous Salasa Content winner. Musicians such as DJ Baby Face and guitarist Max Santos were among his famous clients.
A witness claimed Fernandez had done Adames’ late-night hair styling. They left the house to fetch a drink about 4 am. They were on their way home when a fast sedan abruptly killed them.
The two Inwood accident victims were loving fathers and boys.
Joel is the father of a baby girl who will turn two this fall, according to Cardi B’s Instagram post.
