Sylvester Stallone asked Irwin Winkler to give him the rights to the Rocky franchise. Stallone’s most recent Instagram post shows Winkler with a blade protruding from his mouth and body resembling a snake. Notes write:
“After IRWIN owns ROCKY for over 47 years, and now CREED, I really want to get back at least a little of WHAT’s left of my right, before giving it to ONLY YOUR CHILD – I feel it. would be a JUST gesture from this 93-year-old man.”
He also wrote:
“This is a terrible issue that’s eating away at my soul because I want to leave something of Rocky behind for my kids, but it’s been great to get feedback from our devoted fans… Keep it up try.”
Stallone has always had trouble with the franchise and received around $75,000 plus 10 net worth, a total payout of $2.5 million for the first installment. Previously, he did not mention ownership because there was a company code of practice.
Stallone also criticized Winkler and his son David, calling Irwin’s newly published biography, The Arrangement: A Love Story, one of the worst books he has ever read. Furthermore, he said that if Irwin Winkler hadn’t been there, there would have been three more pictures of Rocky, and he called the crew one of the worst he’s ever seen in the profession.
