Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie movie has unveiled its star-studded cast which includes the likes of Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, and Dua Lipa, alongside the confirmed Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie.
On Tuesday (April 4, 2023), Warner Bros released around 20 movie posters of all characters on Instagram and a new official teaser trailer.
The movie has also unveiled a cool movie poster generator where you can turn yourself into a Barbie or Ken with your selfie – here’s how to do it.
What is the Barbie selfie movie poster generator?
You can become part of the Barbie universe with the latest social media trend that took users by storm.
The selfie poster generator is an AI tool released by the official Barbie movie where you can create your own Barbie or Ken character in seconds and ultimately become part of the cast.
Announcing the new trend, the movie’s official Twitter page shared a short snippet of the tool alongside the caption: “Take a selfie to become a Barbie (or Ken)!”
The tool comes almost after a year the first images of Ryan as Ken and Margot Robbie as Barbie was unveiled on the internet.
How to use Barbie selfie poster generator
Head to the Barbie selfie generator’s website, tap ‘Start’ and take a picture or upload an image of yourself from your device.
Once you have selected your picture, you can reposition and adjust the picture to fit it in the template.
You can edit the tagline that appears above your picture and come up with interesting phrases like ‘Barbie is a role model’ or this ‘Barbie is looking to have fun’.
You can also change the color scheme behind your image and choose between eight different colors for your template. Once you are happy with the generated image, tap ‘Continue’ and download your picture.
You can make your own Ken
You can use the same selfie poster generator to create your own Ken character by importing your image and editing the template.
Once you have selected your selfie and are in the ‘Edit’ section, tap the ‘Pencil’ icon and select ‘Ken’, which is next to ‘Barbie’.
Your tagline will change to ‘This Ken is’ and you can choose to fill in the empty box with an interesting text for your template.
If you are happy with the selected tagline and color scheme, tap ‘Continue’ and download your Ken character to your device.
