Hulk Hogan’s nephew David Bollea is scheduled to make his MMA debut on March 2 in St. Petersburg, Fla. at the St. Petersburg Times Forum. “My uncle ruled the realm of professional wrestling with an iron fist, and anyone who says otherwise is nothin’ but a fool,” Bollea says in a press release issued by the XFC promotion.
“The Hogan family tradition of undeniable dominance is about to step away from the wrestling ring, and right inside the steel cages of MMA. This is my destiny, and anybody who even dreams they can beat me better wake up and apologize. In my family, either you’re the world champion or you’re a loser. I guarantee you, brother, ‘King’ David Bollea ain’t a loser.” Bollea is scheduled to face Jesse Lawrence. Powell’s POV: So David is essentially calling himself a loser because he’s not a World Champion? All joking aside, this is a nice hook for the promotion. We’ll definitely let you know how he does in his first fight.
