After the recent modifications, fans are left with the question, Is Rebirth Island Gone For Good In Warzone? There have been numerous changes in Warzone Pacific Season 5, and players are outraged that the new seasonal update has removed the fan-favorite Rebirth Island map. When the Season 5 update went live, Warzone Pacific received a slew of new content, including weapon balancing changes and brand-new Umbrella Academy Operator skins. However, players who logged in to check out all of the new content were surprised to discover that the popular Rebirth Island map was removed from the game’s playlists following the Season 5 launch.

The community has reacted strongly to this change, with Reddit user ‘George Marsh’ venting their displeasure on the Warzone Pacific subreddit about the removal of Rebirth Island. Many players agreed that Rebirth Island should be kept in the game.

Is Rebirth Island Gone For Good In Warzone?

On June 22, 2022, Rebirth Island was removed from Warzone. This compels players to play the Fortune’s Keep map. Raven Software has previously removed the map, only to re-add it at some point during the season, and this time is no exception.  Rebirth Island, a smaller map played on the Resurgence game mode, was added to the playlist, allowing players to rejoin a game if their remaining teammates remain alive for a certain amount of time. Players who initially dismissed this map and game mode as uninteresting ended up giving it a shot and abandoning the main Battle Royale playlist entirely. The new Caldera map was supposed to change that, but that did not happen.

Players eventually became bored with Rebirth Island until season 2 was released. Raven Software changed several points of interest in season 2, including Stronghold, as well as adding a brand new location, Dock. Other game mode changes included the ability to find and collect perks, trade-in weapons, changes to Gas Masks and Satchels, the addition of Deployable Buy Stations, and more. Players have been enjoying what Rebirth Island has to offer since then, but there is now a new map. So the answer to the question, Is Rebirth Island Gone For Good In Warzone is, Yes.

Will Rebirth Island Return? 

The Call of Duty creators announced that Rebirth Island would not be replaced with the new Fortune’s Keep map in an official blog post. Instead, a consistent weekly playlist rotation will allow all 3 maps to coexist. As the new Fortune’s Keep locale, Rebirth Island, and Caldera playable maps become available, the creators promised: “Stand by for weekly playlist updates to curate experiences across the trio of playable maps.” Rebirth Island won’t be present in the game when Season 4 launches, but it will be back a few weeks following the significant update. Fans of the Alcatraz-based map, who were concerned that it might vanish forever like Verdansk, will be happy to hear this. 

When the blog entry describing the in-game event Occupation Scan noted that it “should keep everyone even more vigilant on an island from which they may need to evacuate,” players were first persuaded that they would need to leave Rebirth Island.  Another blog post advised users to “standby for details on extraction techniques” as mercenary forces were about to strike Rebirth. Knowing that Rebirth Island will continue to be playable even after Fortune’s Keep shows up is comforting.

When Will Rebirth Island Come Back?

The first verified day of Rebirth Island will return on August 26, 2022, according to the new map and mode rotation that Raven Software is using. Rebirth Island Quads will return at this time and take the place of the present weekday staples for the whole weekend. Rebirth Island may, however, reappear on certain days because to the random pull method that has been implemented for Season 5. Rebirth Island might be chosen to rejoin the rotation alongside Fortune’s Keep, Plunder, Battle Royale, and Last Call in the upcoming weeks.
