Tributes are pouring in for the French Saint-14 voice actor, who is reportedly dead, but people have confused him with Brian T. Delaney, who has also voiced the Destiny 2 character.
Saint-14 is an Exo Titan in the video game, Destiny 2. The primary weapon of the character, voiced by different actors, is the Perfect Paradox. Gamers would probably know him for his signature dialogue: “My name is Saint-14. They call me the greatest titan who ever lived.”
The death of Sylvain Lemarié, the artist who lent his vocals to bring Saint-14 to life, has deeply saddened Destiny 2 fans, who have taken to Twitter to share their condolences.
Is Saint-14 voice actor Brian T. Delaney dead?
No, Brian is not dead. The 47-year-old American voice actor is best known for voicing Scarecrow for Batman Unlimited and serving as the male Sole Survivor in Fallout 4.
His voice can be found in several animated films since 2011, including The Angry Birds Movie 2, The Grinch, Despicable Me 3, and The Secret Life of Pets.
Brian has worked as the voice actor for Destiny 2: Beyond Light and Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is the most recent, while Destiny 2: Lightfall is the one where he voiced as Saint-14
Many have confused Brian to be the Saint-14 voice actor who passed away, but he is very much alive and doing well in 2023.
Sylvain Lemarié passes away
The news regarding the passing of Sylvain Lemarié, who served as the French voice for Saint-14, was shared by Destiny Bulletin on Twitter.
He was 70 years old at the time of his death. His family is yet to release a statement, at the time of writing.
Sylvain featured in a number of movies, shows, video games, and even cartoons throughout his career. He had become a favorite in the gaming community by lending his voice to different characters, including Saint-14.
He is well-remembered as Marcus Kincaid in Borderlands Saga and Gragas in League of Legends among various other voice roles.
The cause of Sylvain’s death hasn’t been revealed.
