It’s been an agonizing three-year wait since we last caught up with John Krasinski’s Jack Ryan in the explosive Prime Video series but the countdown to season 3 is now almost over.
As it’s been such a long time since Jack Ryan’s last globe-trotting adventure, fans of the series are understandably eager to delve into the new batch of episodes as soon as they become available.
But when exactly is the release time of Jack Ryan season 3 on Amazon Prime Video and what can viewers expect from the new installment?
Jack Ryan season 3 plot preview
The Prime Video series has seen Jack Ryan embark on some highly dangerous missions so far, beginning in season 1 where he foiled a terrorist plot to assassinate the US president and continuing in season 2 where he and his colleague James Greer were caught up in the political turmoil surrounding Venezuela’s president as he attempted to retain power by any means necessary.
In season 3, Jack Ryan is working in Rome when he receives a tip-off that the Sokol Project, a secret plan to restore the Soviet Empire, is being resurrected.
Ryan quickly sets about trying to confirm the intelligence when complications arise and he is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy.
Accused of treason and with a Red Notice issued for his arrest, Jack is forced to go on the run from his own government, as he ventures on a crisscrossing journey across Europe to clear his name and prevent a global catastrophe.
Jack Ryan season 3 release time on Prime Video
Season 3 of Jack Ryan will be released on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, and will be made available at midnight Eastern Time in the US.
The release time is expected to be the same as it was for Amazon’s Lord Of The Rings series, The Rings Of Power, which premiered at the same time during its run.
As was the case with The Rings Of Power, Jack Ryan’s new season will be released at the same time around the world and for fans in different time zones, that translates to:
- 9pm PT in the US on December 20
- 12am ET in the US
- 5am GMT in the UK
- 6am CET in Europe
- 10:30am IST in India
- 4pm AEDT in Sydney, Australia
How many episodes in total?
Jack Ryan season 3 will consist of eight episodes in total.
The episode count should come as little surprise to veteran fans of the series as both seasons 1 and 2 also featured eight chapters each.
Another bonus for fans is that all eight episodes will be released in one binge-friendly bundle, meaning viewers can watch the new season at their own pace without having to wait weekly for new episodes.
