Josh Couture Obituary – Death: Metal Music Guitarist and Martial Artist, Josh Couture Passes Away

Josh Couture Obituary; Josh Couture unexpectedly passed away. The official date of his death was Tuesday, November 7, 2023. After hearing of his untimely demise, he left behind many broken hearts. All of us who had the pleasure of getting to know him during his life will always miss him.

Josh was a well-known personality in the Hardcore/Metal and Ju Jitsu communities. He is survived by his wife Ellie, daughter Ella, and infant son Gunnar.

Josh was an integral part of the Tampa underground scene. Josh was also the epitome of what Born Free Pub stood for. A musician, martial artist and a biker all rolled into one. A stand up individual. Born Free was built for spearheads like him. He thanked me countless times for opening the bar and for supporting Hardcore, Punk and Metal. All of which he was a part of. All 3 of his bands (Exit Strategy, Right On Time, No Friend Of Mine) played my bar several times. I haven’t slept tonight because he is gone and Born Free is gone. Josh’s beautiful presence and perfect smile is consuming me and I should give up while I’m above ground but I now feel more determined than ever to get Born Free reopened in his honor and spirit. I think he would want that. I know a lot of the Tampa underground wants that. My heart goes out to Ellie, their children and Josh’s entire family which includes his dear friends, who are my friends too. It’s time to stick together and support each other. Love you all
