Kim Damti Obituary; Missing Irish-Israeli Woman Kim Damti Confirmed Dead

Her aunt Pat Cooper issued the following statement to RTÉ News: “With deep sorrow, the Cooper family announces the passing of their dear niece, Kim Damti.”

We appreciate everyone who has given us love and encouragement over the past five days, Ms. Cooper continued.

“We respectfully request the media to allow us to grieve in the privacy of our family.”

Her sister Laura paid tribute to her on social media and announced that Ms. Damti’s funeral would take place the following day.

“With great sorrow and gloomy grief, I announce the killing of our angel, our flower, Kim my blood, who was murdered by the cursed terrorists,” she stated.

The Department of Foreign Affairs had been in touch with Ms. Damti’s family. Ms. Damti, 22, was last seen at a music festival in Re’im in southern Israel.

Around 250 festival attendees from an Israeli settlement near Gaza were slain on Saturday by Hamas militants.

Witnesses reported that several hundred people were there at the festival when Hamas terrorists started shooting.

Ms. Damti’s death was described as “truly appalling” by President Michael D. Higgins in his homage to her.

He issued the following statement: “I have learned of the passing of the young Irish-Israeli citizen Kim Damti with the deepest regret.
