Punjab Police Arrested 4 Shooters of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

An anti-gangster task force of the Punjab Police arrested the 4 shooters of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police recovered 6 pistols along with cartridges from the shooters. Those shooters have been facing several criminal cases registered in Punjab and Haryana.

Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav tweeted,

“In a major breakthrough, AGTF arrested four shooters of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Six pistols and 26 live cartridges were recovered from the accused.”

“The shooters were tasked to harm their rival gang members. More revelations are expected during the course of the investigation.”

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan topped the list of 10 main targets of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Lawrence confessed to the National Investigation Agency that he wanted to kill the superstar.

Lawrence confessed in December 2022 to the NIA that his aide Sampat Nehra has conducted a recce of Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence. Sampat was arrested by the Special Task Force of the Haryana Police.

Lawrence wanted to kill Salman because he hunted the blackbuck in the year 1998. Lawrence wanted to kill Salman to avenge the sentiments of the community.

Mumbai police got a threat call on 10 April. The caller identified himself as Rockey Bhai from Jodhpur in Rajasthan. Rockey was a coe-vigilante. He threatened to eliminate Salman Khan on 30 April.

The threat call was made after a man was arrested for sending a threatening email to Salman Khan. The Dabangg actor Salman Khan has been provided with Y+ security by the Mumbai Police.

Lawrence said in his confession that he was also targeting Shagunpreet (the manager of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu MooseWala). In March 2023, Mumbai police arrested one person named Dhakad Ram in Salman Khan’s threat case.
