Outside of the Lucky Eagle Casino on Tuesday evening, a deputy with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office opened fire on a guy who was 55 years old and from Lakewood.

Following his arrival at the hospital, the suspect was given medical attention; nevertheless, he ultimately succumbed to the injuries he sustained and passed away.

The man was allegedly pointing a gun at the deputy, according to a statement released by the police.

The male from Lakewood was reportedly shot by a deputy from the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday evening outside of the Lucky Eagle Casino, according to the authorities.

The initial statement made by the police indicates that the suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center for medical treatment before being released.

However, a statement that was released at a later time stated that he was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Olympia, where he ultimately passed dead.

According to the preliminary findings of the investigation, the individual in question pulled a gun on the security guard who was stationed at the entrance of the commercial establishment.

In response to the plea for assistance, law enforcement authorities arrived at the location, when a sheriff fired his handgun, resulting in the suicide of the suspect.
