Melissa Kadas' sudden A2K exit over 'personal reasons' has K-pop fans 'crying'

One of A2K’s most loved contestants Melissa Kadas has left the show and fans are wondering why she ditched the competition.
A2K aka America to Korea is JYP Entertainment’s famous girl group audition program that aims to create an America-based Global K-Pop group. The showrunners recently completed their Los Angeles BootCamp and secured their ten contestants who would make it to Korea. Among the ten music stars was Melissa Kadas who was also a fan favorite. But recently news surfaced that Melissa had dropped out of A2K.
Melissa Kadas leaves A2K despite top 10 spot
Most recently fans learned Melissa had dropped out of the show despite making it to the Top 10. Episode 15, of the show which aired on Friday, September 1, revealed the names of the finalists who will fly to Korea soon and Melissa had made the cut.
However a recent A2K clip, the host informs all the remaining nine girls that Melissa dropped out of the show. He says “Melissa is unable to join due to personal reasons.” Melissa also left a video message for her co-contestants and for fans. She wished them luck but did not get into the details of personal reasons that made her leave the show.
She hasn’t discussed it on her social media either.
Fans react to contestant dropping out
Fans were sad to hear that Melissa had left the show despite being a strong contestant.
“I hope she is okay…” one worried fan wrote.
“My main vocalist pick, nooo,” another person wrote with crying emojis.
“That’s sad I was rooting for her so much,” another person said who which a fan replied, “Me too, she was the strongest vocal out of all of them.”
“I cried watching today’s episode, you are my #1. I’ll be supporting you wherever you go, Thank you for brightening my days while I watched you on A2K, from now on I’ll be following you wherever you go !!!” another fan told Melissa via an Instagram comment.
