Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury fans are delighted to hear that season 2 has been confirmed to release in April 2023.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is arguably the very best that a mecha anime can be, with exceptional visuals and sound design complimenting a solid storyline from the iconic franchise.

Thankfully, when season 1 episode 12 concluded last month on Crunchyroll, fans were already aware that a second season was in the works from Studio Sunrise.

Now, those same fans are celebrating the news that Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury season 2 will release in April 2023.

The official Japanese website for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury has recently confirmed that season 2 will release for domestic audiences in April 2023.

Whilst a more specific release date has not yet been shared, the website does note that new episodes will be broadcast at 5 PM local time on Sundays via 28 MBC/TBS television networks.

This means that Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury season 2 will premiere on either Sunday, April 2, 9, 16, or 23 for international fans; expected to be simulcast on Crunchyroll, the same as season 1.

Season 1 of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury has a rating of 7.94/10 on MyAnimeList, 7.7/10 on IMDB, 79% on Anilist, and 4/5 on Anime Planet.

English dub finally premieres on Crunchyroll

Fans of The Witch from Mercury anime are certainly counting down until the release of season 2 in April 2023.

However, there is a whole host of new fans being introduced to the anime thanks to the English dubbing, which premiered on Sunday, February 5.

New episodes are made available on Crunchyroll every Sunday at 10:30 PM GMT/5:30 PM ET.

The English voice cast includes Jill Harris as Suletta, Natalie Van Sistine as Miorine, Elizabeth Maxwell as Prospera, Bradley Gareth as Guel, Aaron Dismuke as Elan, Brittany Karbowski as Chuatury, Bryn Apprill as Nika, Alejandro Saab as Shaddiq, and Gabe Kunda as Delling.

Manga adaptation confirmed to be in the works

In late-January, Kadokawa’s Gundam Ace magazine confirmed that a manga side story for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury was in the works.

The new side story will be written by Ko Yoneyama, with Chika Tojo working as the illustrator and HISADAKE in charge of cooperation, with Mogmo helming with the character designs.

According to Anime News Network, the new side story will be set several years after the Vanadis incident and will focus on a witch called Vilda Miren; a survivor of the incident who is forced to walk the earth with a mysterious curse.
