Motorcycle Accident Cape Cod: 24-year-old man killed in Mashpee motorcycle accident.
The Mashpee Police Department was alerted to a motorbike crash with a pole on Friday night about 10:54 PM near Old Barnstable Road and Kelly Road. When they arrived, Mashpee police officers discovered the motorcycle’s driver unconscious in the road. CPR was started right away on the 24-year-old male crash victim by first responders.
Before hitting a utility pole, it seems as though the driver lost control and veered off the paved section of the road and onto the soft shoulder, police said.
Rescue workers took the motorbike driver from the site to Falmouth Hospital, where he was declared dead before even getting there.
The Mashpee Police Department and Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Unit are presently looking into the collision.
