Mudslide reported on HWY 84 North of Quad Cities

Heavy rains Wednesday night have led to flash flooding and a mudslide North of the Quad Cities.  

According to the National Weather Service, law enforcement officials are reporting a mudslide along HWY 84, North of Savanna, IL.  

The area was deemed unsafe at 8:15 p.m.

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for parts of Jo Daviess, Carroll and Whiteside counties until after midnight tonight. 

If you come across a road covered with water, remember “turn around, don’t drown.”

A lot of these same areas were hit hard by flash flooding and heavy rains late last week as well.
