Nick Groff announced his retirement from Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures after 10 seasons on November 24, 2014. The group’s aim is to disprove the stories and bring solace to homeowners who believe ghosts are harassing them. The musical was a huge hit on the charts, kicking off the cast’s careers. Bagans, the series’ main investigator, wins hearts with his unique personality, while Groff becomes the talk of the town on social media. Fans were shocked and confused when Groff suddenly gave up.

What made Nick Groff leave the spooky adventure?

While the cast has never commented on Groff’s departure, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating. Longtime viewers said that Groff left the show due to an “ego trip”. They noticed that Bagans’ character had grown considerably throughout the seasons and that he had more screen time than Groff. As a result, Groff’s contributions to the program are less obvious. Another reason the executive producer resigned was due to pressure from the Travel Channel. According to rumors, the cast and crew were ordered to fabricate fictitious scenes, evidence, and emotions to improve ratings and make the drama more appealing. The play also required actors to pose as guests. But Groff, the author of the series, wants his investigations to be authentic. He realizes that gathering meaningful evidence takes time in any field. He was eventually forced to leave the series.

What happened to Nick in ‘The Adventures of Ghosts’?

Following his departure, Groff launched a new show called Ghost Stalkers. The show stars paranormal investigators Chad Lindberg and John EL Tenney, both of whom claim to have had near-death experiences. The detectives in the episode journeyed to haunted locations in search of portals of natural existence that could link our reality to alternate universes.

Unfortunately, after six episodes, it was discontinued. Then, the producer rolled out Paranormal Lockdown, in which he was joined by another paranormal investigator, Katrina Weidman. As the name suggests, this couple was held in haunted locations for 72 hours to collect revolutionary evidence.
