Nidoking Raid Guide (Counters & Weaknesses)

In celebration of Valentine’s Day for 2023, Nidoking will be accompanying its female counterpart Nidoqueen in Three-Star Raids in Pokémon GO. As a Posion- and Ground-type Drill Pokémon, Nidoking is capable of performing Poison-, Fighting-, Steel-, and Groud-type Moves. If you are looking to add this rodent-like monarch to your pocket monster roster, you will need to understand its strengths and weaknesses. For instance, its dual-elemental characteristics make it resistant to Fighting-, Rock-, Bug-, Fairy-, Poison-, and Electric-type Moves in Pokémon GO. Conversely, you can deal effective damage to its armored hide using combatants with Ground-, Water-, Ice-, and Psychic-type Movesets.
Best Counters for Nidoking Raid in Pokémon GO
Unfortunately, the Valentine’s Day 2023 Event’s Nidoking cannot be a Shiny Raid Boss when captured. However, do not let this fact dissuade you from obtaining this Drill Pokémon, which is an excellent counter for Fairy-type or Fire-type opponents. That being said, the ideal combatants for defeating this Raid Boss would be Mega Alakazam, Mega Swampert, Mewtwo, and Pokémon GO Latios.
