Nintendo Fighter Ballot: Endless Possibilities

Nintendo blew everyone away when they announced that we the people can vote for who we’d like to see added to the Super Smash Bros official roster. They’ve also been adamant  about allowing voters to include non-Nintendo characters into their ballots. Due to the “anything goes” mentality many obvious characters such as Banjo Kazooie or Crash Bandicoot have received plenty of votes, but voters are getting creative. Don’t worry, Nintendo is listening.

After the Nintendo Direct there was a lot of confusion about if it was possible to vote for third-party characters. Thankfully, one writer took to email asking for some further explanation of the rules surrounding Super Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot. Below is the email that answered all of our prayers:

Thanks for writing to us. I can certainly understand your interest in if third-party characters are eligible for the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot. I want to assure you that you are able to submit any video-game character for this ballot. While we are unable to guarantee your suggested character will become a Super Smash Bros. Fighter, rest assured, we do take all feedback into consideration.

Now that we all know that we can vote for third-party candidates, it’s pretty cool to think all of the possibilities. Nintendo has the funds to pay royalties for any character imaginable, and I’d be lying if I said that I’m not happy about how creative the submissions have become. Nintendo is one of the most loved companies in all of entertainment, and that’s why voters aren’t asking for anything less than amazing. Let’s get crazy.

guys there still a chance that the reckless silhouette guy from the wii startup screen will be in smash 4
