Drake on Renaissance

If you’ve listened to Beyoncé’s new single, Heated, you may have recognized the old-school Drake feel to it.

Although he only released his new album last month, it seems Drake was also busy helping Queen Bey create a song perfect for hot girl summer.

However, this isn’t the first time the pair have collaborated. In 2015, Drake unveiled a new track called Can I, which featured Beyoncé herself.

In fact, it seems that Drake has always been a B fan, as he titled his 2013 single Girls Love Beyoncé.

Listeners of Renaissance have taken to social media to talk about the new single, some claiming that they knew it was Drake just from one listen. One user commented: “Knew ‘Heated’ was Drake by the first 20secs lol.” Another added: “WOW HEATED?!?? I can hear drake… his pen is so recognisable btw #RENAISSANCE.”

One fan can understand Drake’s choice of album name now, as they wrote on Twitter: “Omg! Listening to Beyoncé’s album explains why Drake named his album ‘Honestly, Nevermind.'”
