SEPTEMBER shoppers wander along world-famous retail hotspot Oxford Street — under its Christmas lights.
Stars have appeared above the London landmark as the nation readies for rocketing energy bills.

The famous destination's Christmas lights have been set up almost three months before December 25 - and will be turned on for November 2.
The decorations use 300,000 LED bulbs which are more efficient than traditional bulbs.
Lights display boss Hadas Kulcsar said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Christmas lights back.”
Oxford Street will officially switch on the Christmas lights in November.

But one shopper said: “Lights already? We don’t even know if we’ll be able to turn ours on this Christmas.”
Scores of councils up and down the country have already cancelled local switch-on events.
