Park of the Week: Van Dorn Park

We checked out the biking trails at Van Dorn Park this week and we were excited to find a great climbing structure too! It is definitely a park worth checking out. It was quiet when we were there; the trails are so much fun and you can bring your four-legged friends as well.

PARKING AND LOCATION

• There is a large parking lot off of High St and 10th St.
• This park is right off of 10th Street and it can be noisy with the traffic going by.

SPECIAL FEATURES & PLAYGROUND NOTES

• There is a great climbing structure at this park. There isn't another one like this in town.
• The two mile single track mountain biking trail is the big draw at this park.
• Great area for walking dogs with a tunnel that goes under Van Dorn
• There are five swings including baby swings

BATHROOMS & OTHER AMENITIES

• There are no bathrooms
• There is a shelter that you can book which has heating, air conditioning and bathrooms.
• Lots of picnic tables
