Paul Weedon serves as Vice President - Exploration of the Company. Mr. Weedon is a senior geologist with over 25 years of international mining industry experience in exploration, development and production in Africa and Australasia spanning junior to major mining companies. Prior to Roxgold, Mr. Weedon was the Exploration Director, Australia, at Newmont where he was responsible for supporting all exploration activities in Australia. Previously at Newmont, he held the position of Exploration Director, Ghana, for over six years where he led the discovery of the 2 million-ounce Apensu underground deposits and the expansion of Subika underground project. Mr. Weedon has also held the positions of Vice President Business Development, Africa and Geology Manager- West Africa for Anglogold Ashanti. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) and a Post Graduate Diploma of Economic Geology from Curtin University of Technology and is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG).
