Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Where to Find Shiny Stone (& What It’s For)

Similar to the Moon Stone or Leaf Stone in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the Shiny Stone is an Evolution Item only for a single evolution. As a result, this evolutionary object is slightly more tricky to find than other stones that involve two pocket monsters. However, there is a location on the map where the Shiny Stone is always guaranteed to appear.
Trainers are also given this stone as a reward for achieving a simple task that they will carry out throughout their playthrough. These two sources for this Evolution Item are sufficient for evolving the corresponding pocket monster, including a possible Shiny variant.
Finding Shiny Stones in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The first and most straightforward method of obtaining a Shiny Stone in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is a Pokédex Progress Reward for catching Pokémon. More specifically, once Trainers manage to catch a total of 150 pocket monsters during their adventure, they can receive a Shiny Stone as compensation for their efforts from Professor Jacq in the Biology Lab.
As noted above, catching Pokémon is the obvious action that players will constantly be doing while fulfilling objectives or exploring Paldea. Therefore, it is inevitable that they will eventually receive a Shiny Stone.
On the other hand, there might be Trainers who prefer to get their Shiny Stone faster instead of grinding out 150 catches in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. These players can head to South Province (Area Six) and explore the tall mountain northeast of Alfornada. According to Game8, if Trainers follow the winding path up the mountain, they will reach a large crater at the top filled with water.

To reach Alfornada, fans must follow a series of underground pathways that begin at a canyon cave entrance in the area across the river opposite Cortondo.
The third method to get a Shiny Stone in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is by visiting the Auction House in Porto Marinada. PowerPyx claims that this auction-based shop can have a variety of Evolution Items for sale, including the Shiny Stone. However, the schedule of its rotating stock changes every real-world, meaning that it could be several days or weeks before the Auction House offers this particular stone. Nevertheless, after Trainers obtain their Shiny Stone, they can evolve the following Fairy-type Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet:
Trainers can give a Shiny Stone to Floette to evolve it into Florges.
