Sherkil Reed Obituary Poplar Bluff, MO: Victim identified in fatal Ripley County crash.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, officers responded to a fatal crash on Rt. T 3 Miles north of Oxly at approximately 10:20 a.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2006 Ford Mustang driven Southbound by a 16-year-old female ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
31-year-old Sherkil J. Reed of Poplar Bluff, MO, who was a passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by Ripley County Coroner Mike Jackson at 11:50.
The teen driver and a 37-year-old woman who was also a passenger in the vehicle were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for minor injury treatments.
Investigation is ongoing.
