Sofia Richie and U.K. record executive Elliot Grainge were first linked in January 2021, a few months after Richie officially parted ways with Scott Disick. She and Disick dated for nearly four years.

Sofia Richie Grainge and her husband, Elliot Grainge, married in a lavish ceremony in France in April, and they have now announced that they are expecting their first child together.

The daughter of Lionel Richie made the “grand announcement” exclusively to British Vogue, revealing that their little bundle of joy is a girl.

While she says her daughter’s due date is “a bit up in the air,” she noted it will be a Gemini baby, meaning the birth will probably be between May 21 and June 21.

Speaking about her pregnancy journey, the 25-year-old revealed that she found out “very early” after visiting Milan for fashion week and becoming quite ill.

Upon returning to her home in Los Angeles, she was due to attend an Ed Sheeran concert with Elliot and some friends when she realized her period was late.

Sofia admitted that the newlyweds had been trying to conceive since they married and that Elliot was used to her taking tests regularly and “did not flinch” when she took a “crappy at-home test” before the concert to be safe ahead of what she expected to be a boozy night.

Elliot went to CVS Pharmacy after seeing a faint line on the test to collect more tests with the model, and she used three more tests to confirm her pregnancy.

“We spoke the entire time on the phone, and when he got home, he sat me down and said, ‘If these are negative, do not be upset. When we turned over all three tests at the same time, they all returned positive. He was so excited that we both burst into tears.
