A two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle happened at Castleton Four Corners Saturday, October 28, 2023.
At 9:34 in the morning, according to Castleton Police, they were called to a two-vehicle collision where a motorbike operated by Stanley Borucki, 56, of Pittsford, and a Toyota Tacoma driven by Harry Wagner, 69, of Stafford, Connecticut, collided. Wagner struck Borucki head-on as he veered into the northbound lane while driving south on Route 30.
After being transported by ambulance to a landing zone, Borucki was flown to Albany Medical Centre in Albany, New York, via helicopter, where he was declared deceased.
Wagner was set to appear in the Rutland County Superior Court Criminal Division at a later time after receiving a citation for careless operation resulting in death. The Vermont State Police Crash Reconstruction Team, Fair Haven Police, Regional Ambulance, Castleton First Response, and Castleton Fire Department all provided assistance to the Castleton Police.
Investigation is ongoing.
