Tom Segura claims Garth Brooks blocked him because of his 'serial killer' jokes

Garth Brooks has seemingly had enough of Tom Segura’s jokes, as the comedian claims he was blocked on social media by the country music star.

While many fans have been following Tom’s “Garth Brooks is a serial killer” joke for the last few years, others are more confused about the origins and want to know exactly how it even came about in the first place.

Who is Tom Segura?

Tom Segura is an American stand-up comedian and podcast host, most known for co-hosting the podcast Your Mom’s House with his wife and fellow comedian, Christina Pazsitzky.

He also co-hosts the Two Bears One Cave podcast with Bert Kreischer.

Tom, from Cincinnati Ohio, has had several Netflix specials such as Ball Hog, Disgraceful, Completely Normal, and Mostly Stories. He has also appeared in films like Instant Family, Countdown, Flinch, and The Opening Act.

What is Tom Segura’s Garth Brooks joke all about?

For years, Tom has been calling country musician Garth Brooks a serial killer, which has prompted podcast listeners to fill Garth’s comment section with questions.

It all began back in October 2018, when Garth announced his Stadium Tour with a video on Instagram in which he talks about “getting physical playing music”.

Tom discussed the video on Your Mom’s House and decided to say that Garth is a serial killer.

He alleged: “What he’s thinking about is all the bodies he’s got stacked in graves in his yard, for sure. He’s probably killed 200 to 300 people in his life.”

Garth has not responded to the claims, and, of course, we can safely assume that Garth is not a serial killer as this was simply one of Tom’s jokes.

The joke carried on for years, with the podcast introducing segments into their show like “Garth Brooks Sucks” and “Where Are The Bodies Garth”.

Garth finally had enough of Tom’s jokes

Although listeners of the Your Mom’s House podcast have been commenting on Garth’s Instagram posts for years, Garth has never addressed Tom’s long-running joke about him being a serial killer. In fact, people were unsure if he was even seeing the comments or was aware of the joke

However, Tom has now revealed that he has been blocked by the musician.

While appearing on Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, Tom claimed that he had information from, “a reliable source” that said Garth did actually know about the joke.

Tom then said that Garth allegedly doesn’t understand why the comedian was talking about him.

“And then recently, he just blocked me on Instagram. And I was like ‘oh, he finally blocked me,'” he said.
