Tornado touches down in Clinton County

7 p.m. update – We’ve confirmed, meteorologists with the National Weather Service are planning to survey damage from Monday’s tornado on Tuesday.  They’ll be checking for damage from near Delmar to Bellevue.  We’ll follow up with damage reports as they come in on Tuesday.

A tornado was observed moving north between Delmar and Charlotte near Iowa Route 136 just before 4 p.m.

Some tree debris was reported after law enforcement observations and a tornado warning for Clinton and Jackson County was issued until 4:30 p.m. Clinton County was removed from the warning at 4:04 p.m. once the storm had moved north into Jackson County.
