Tsuki To Laika To Nosferatu

According to the official anime synopsis, "Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu" tells the story of how "After the end of the World War, the two superpowers that divide the world, the Union of Zirnitra Republics in the East and the United Kingdom of Arnak in the West, have turned their territorial ambitions to space. The two nations engaged in a fierce development race, and now... The year is 1960." In an alternate reality where vampires exist, the leader of the Union of Zirnitra Republics is attempting the "Mechtat (Dream) Project," which will be the first manned space flight. 

But before sending out a human to test their technology, the leader initiates "Project Nosferatu," which will train and send vampire Irina up into space to ensure the safety of the project, with Lev as her trainer. Through this space race story, "Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu" will explore how Lev and Irina, two very different people on the surface, are actually simply "humans and vampires, watchdogs and experimental subjects – they are at the mercy of race barriers and national egos, but they share a pure desire for space, and set out to explore it together."
