JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Destinasi wisata yang sering dikunjungi turis mancanegara seperti Bali dan Lombok, terdapat penyewaan sepeda motor. Namun, tak sedikit juga turis yang menyewa motor tersebut ternyata tidak memiliki Surat Izin Mengemudi (SIM) Internasional.

Namun, apa pun alasannya, setiap pengendara kendaraan bermotor di Indonesia, diwajibkan untuk memiliki SIM. Termasuk juga dengan para turis yang berwisata.

Untuk pembuatan SIM Internasional, para turis tersebut tidak diharuskan membawanya dari negara masing-masing. Peraturan di Indonesia mengizinkan untuk para turis membuat SIM Internasional di sini.

Stanly/Otomania SIM Internasional di Korp Lalu Lintas Polri Bid Regident Subbid Pegemudi bagian SIM Internasional yang ada di Jl Letjen MT Haryono, Kav 37-38, Jakarta Timur.

Untuk persyaratan dan ketentuannya, tertuang dalam Peraturan Kapolri No. 9 Tahun 2012 Pasal 7, berikut ini isinya:
1. Persyaratan administrasi pengajuan SIM baru, sebagaimana dimaksud dalam pasal 26 huruf a, untuk mengemudikan ranmor perseorangan meliputi:

1. Mengisi formulir pengajuan SIM; dan
2. Kartu tanda penduduk asli setempat yang masih berlaku bagi Warga Negara Asing.

2. Dokumen keimigrasian, sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat (1) huruf b, berupa:

1. Paspor dan Kartu Izin Tinggal Tetap (KITAP) bagi yang berdomisili tetap di Indonesia;
2. Paspor, visa diplomatik, kartu anggota diplomatik, dan identitas diri lain bagi yang merupakan staf atau keluarga kedutaan;
3. Paspor dan visa dinas atau Kartu Izin Tinggal Sementara (KITAS) bagi yang bekerja sebagai tenaga ahli atau pelajar yang bersekolah di Indonesia; atau
4. Paspor dan kartu izin kunjungan atau singgah bagi yang tidak berdomisili di Indonesia.

Terkait biaya pembuatan SIM Internasional, sudah ditetapkan dalam PP Nomor 60 Tahun 2016 tentang Jenis dan Tarif atas Jenis Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak, yaitu sebesar Rp 250.000. Sedangkan untuk biaya perpanjangannya adalah Rp 225.000.

Pendaftaran pembuatan SIM Internasional bisa dilakukan secara online melalui situs Siminternasional.korlantas.polri.go.id. Dalam situs tersebut, terdapat sejumlah persyaratan yang harus dipersiapkan untuk melakukan pendaftaran SIM internasional:

• Foto diri terbaru; dengan syarat nampak 2 kancing kemeja, warna latar belakang putih, warna kemeja dan/atau hijab tidak berwarna putih, tidak menggunakan kacamata, wajah menghadap kamera, tidak menggunakan contact lens, dan buka
• foto hitam putih.
• KTP
• KITAP (khusus WNA)
• Paspor yang masih berlaku
• SIM yang masih berlaku, sesuai dengan golongan SIM internasional yang akan diajukan
• Tanda tangan di kertas putih, menggunakan tinta hitam
• SIM internasional yang masih berlaku, jika ingin melakukan perpanjangan
