Vicky Kaushal is an Indian actor who primarily works in Hindi-language films. He was born on May 16, 1988, in Mumbai, India, to parents Sham Kaushal and Veena Kaushal. His father is a noted action director in the Indian film industry. Vicky completed his schooling from Sheth Chunilal Damodardas Barfivala High School and went on to pursue an engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai. However, he soon realized his passion for acting and decided to pursue it as a career. Vicky made his acting debut in 2012 with the film Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, but it was his role in the critically acclaimed film Masaan in 2015 that brought him recognition.
