Before the most recent episode of American Monster airs, learn everything there is to know about Randy Ferguson’s murder.

How did Randy Ferguson die? Who was he?

Randy Ferguson, 45, and Angela Ferguson, his wife of five years, resided in Puyallup, Washington. Alison, a young daughter, was born to Randy and Angela.

Angela already had her own grown children from a previous relationship when the two first met. After being hitched, the couple moved into their South Hill home in Puyallup, Washington, where they lived with their daughter and Angela’s kids

However, things started to deteriorate and the couple started to quarrel all the time. Lisa Moore, the sister of Randy, predicted a conflict between them due to Angela’s cunning, envious, and domineering personality.

After witnessing her brother’s suffering in the marriage for a while, Lisa also admitted that she felt bad for arranging for Randy to meet Angela.

Soon, Randy’s misery would come to an end, but in a most cruel way: Angela would kill him by shooting him twice in the head. On March 23, 2006, his wife violently ended the 45-year-life old’s after a heated disagreement.

Two days later, on March 26, 2006, Randy’s body—cold and lifeless, with two gunshot wounds to the head—was discovered in the trunk of his 1990 Dogde Intrepid vehicle. Nearly eight miles northwest of Tacoma, at Gig Harbor, the car was allegedly slammed against a barrier.

After the body was found, Angela initially insisted that she was unaware of her husband’s passing and displayed obvious grief. But the police kept looking, and when they discovered blood at the house, they confronted Angela about it. Although the 39-year-old admitted to the crime, he claimed it was an accident. She covered up the murder by using her adult children as well.

After being detained, Angela was given a sentence of 26 years and 8 months in jail in 2007. The Washington Corrections Center for Women is now housing Randy’s killer and wife.
