A basketball coach named Bobby Morris has been found dead as a result of the claims made against him on social media.

A coach and instructor at City View ISD passed away after being accused of sexual misbehavior on social media. Bobby Morris was found dead in his home by Burkburnett Police shortly after 7 p.m. on Monday after they received reports of a gunshot on Jan Lee Drive. As crime scene tape was being applied, a small crowd formed nearby.

Morris was recognized as Texoma’s Nexstar Small School Coach of the Year on Thursday at a ceremony hosted by KFDX-TV. Following the congratulations, Facebook messages from women accusing Morris of impermissible sexual behavior began to appear.

What Charges Were Leveled Against Bobby Morris, City View Coach?

Not long after Coach of the Year Bobby Morris was named, he was the target of multiple accusations. When the charges first appeared on Facebook, everyone’s attention was quickly drawn to them.

One reader claimed she found that parents had long complained about Morris after a City View supervisor enquired about it. She claimed that nothing was done. Other comments made similar assertions.

However, nothing had been done to address Bobby’s inappropriate behavior. The issues were quickly dismissed at the time, but as soon as they appeared online, everyone paid close attention to them.

Although the posts have since been removed, Bobby was undoubtedly interested in them. Then, he turned to his own social media to let his friends and family know that he is not as strong as them in a series of posts. People who knew Bobby well were alarmed by the mysterious letter and sent to check on Bobby’s home. Then his body was found inside his home.

What Caused Bobby Morris Death and why?

A gunshot wound caused Bobby to pass away. People who were close to Morris at the time heard the gunfire. And shortly after he posted some mysterious messages, cops were called to Bobby’s home to see how he was doing.

When the cops arrived, the coach had already passed away. Several students came forward on social media to share their experiences with Morris’s sexual misbehavior.

The accusations quickly crept inside Bobby’s head after taking off like wildfire. As a result, Bobby committed suicide, explaining that he was not as resilient as his family and friends.

The public has not yet been informed of Bobby’s age. However, based on his photographs, he appears to be in his thirties to forties.

Morris led the City View boys basketball team to the Class 3A state tournament the previous year. That day, City View made its debut in front of the state. Their final match was in the state semifinals.

In 2011, Morris joined City View as an assistant boys basketball coach. He earned the most victories for the program overall after being promoted to head coach in 2016 by winning two district championships. Under his direction, City View won its first playoff game since 2005 in 2021. In each of his first six seasons as coach, he guided City View to the postseason.
