Lana Del Rey did not shy away from striking a few poses with her boyfriend, Jack Donoghue as he shared pictures of them posing outside the Cook County Jail. While the photos had some convinced he was a cop, the reality is far from the truth.
The singer has tried to keep her private life away from the media and does not post a lot on social media. However, it it looks like Jack had other plans.
He did not hesitate to show off his lovely girlfriend and was quick to clarify why they had taken a photo outside the jail.
Who is Jack Donoghue?
Just like Lana, Jack is also a singer. He is a member of the band Salem. Their debut EP was titled Yes I Smoke Crack, and it managed to catch the attention of the New York Times as well.
In an interview with the outlet, Jack admitted that he had been making music for over 10 years with his band member, John Holland. Previously, the band had also consisted of Heather Marlatt but she decided to part ways with them.
The band started getting recognition when their song soundtracked Paris runway shows. Apart from composing music, Jack has also helped in the production of Kanye West’s Yeezus album.
At the moment, he is only active on Instagram and Facebook. With over 36k followers on the platform, Jack often uses Instagram to promote his music while sharing small snippets from his life.

At first glance, some might think Jack is a cop due to him casually taking a photo outside of a jail is quite unusual. However, if you look at his caption carefully, you would realize that he has written: “family visit.”
It is quite possible that Jack and Lana went to meet John who was scheduled to report to the Grand Traverse County Correctional Facility to serve a 30-day sentence back in 2020. At the time of the interview with the New York Times, the pair did not shed more detail on the charges.
What we know about their relationship
The news about Lana was dating someone new started surfacing online in May 2022. However, the singer never confirmed the status.
As per Daily Mail, Lana and Jack have been growing strong as they have a lot of things in common. In fact, the two even celebrated Jack’s birthday together.
While Lana had a prior commitment she ensured that she spent some time with Jack. Their recent pictures sure do give a glimpse into their private relationship.
