Racism is one of the most important issues in the world, and any insulting comment about someone’s skin color can spark a heated debate.
Something similar is getting a lot of attention on social media again after an old post showed that senior officers in the Pentagon’s “Kelisa Wing” training program, who also wrote a lot of books against racism, made fun of white people. As soon as the news spread on social media, a whole lot of responses hit the news. Here’s all the pieces you need to know.
According to the original studies or sources, Kelisa Wing has a very well-known job in the Department of Defense’s Training Exercise Office. She is called the chief diversity, inclusion, and fairness officer. But no one thought she would make fun of White people in the way she did when she tweeted on July 23, 2020, “I’m tired of these white folx in these [professional development] sessions.” She also said that a white woman who said “Black people can be racist, too” was wrong and should be condemned.
Who Is Kelisa Wing?
In short, the problem started on Twitter when Kelisa Wing shared a post about it that she had made two years ago. But later, it was taken down by the government, and the circumstances also went back to normal. Now, it has started to come back up again, making everyone want to learn more about her. Because when someone is in the news or in the spotlight because of an argument, everyone wants to know everything about them. No one wants to be blind to anything.
Now, if we talk about Kelisa Wing’s personal life, she was a teacher and a member of the US Military before she joined the Protection Division. During her time in the military, she became a great person and was given the title “Workers Sergeant.” Since they’ve been together for two years, she’s had to deal with a lot of opposition because of the harsh reality of racism she shows in her books. Because of this, her books are always the hot topic. Here, we’ve talked about details that we got from other places, and when something new comes out, we’ll definitely let you know. A report says that the chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer in the education branch of the Department of Defense, who calls herself “woke,” has a history of calling out white people on social media.
Fox News was the first to report on Kelisa Wing’s tweets. Wing is a veteran of the Army and the DEI chief at the DoD’s Education Activity. When the news outlet asked her for a comment, she made her Twitter account private and didn’t answer.
The person in charge of the curriculum at DoDEA, Wing, tweeted in June 2020, “I’m tired of these white people in these [professional development] sessions.”
“This woman had the nerve to say that black people can also be racist… I had to stop the meeting and tell Karen the TRUTH… We are not in the majority, so we don’t have power,” the chief of diversity said.
The word “caudacity” comes from two words that mean “white audacity.”
Kelisa Wing, who works in the education branch of the Department of Defense and is in charge of diversity, equity, and inclusion, has called out white people in a series of tweets.
“To be an antiracist is to work against racism… you will NEVER get there… “Stop making this about being white,” Wing said.
In another post, Wing replied to a user who had criticized an article she had written that said “racism is woven into the very fabric of our country” and asked teachers to stop “racial oppression,” according to Fox.
She has also said that former President Donald Trump was “the whole boy version of a Karen” and that Betsy DeVos, who was Trump’s secretary of education, was “the queen of Karens.”
Wing has also written several children’s books about race with other people. In 2021, she wrote “What Is White Privilege?” with Leigh Ann Dickerson as part of the Racial Justice in America Series.
“White privilege hurts a lot of people,” the book says. If you are White, you might feel bad about hurting other people, or you might be afraid to lose this privilege.”
The book says, “Getting rid of White privilege is a job that must start with White people.”
A nonprofit group that keeps track of banned books told Fox that the book was one of many that a Florida school district took out for review.
Wing responded to the report on Twitter by saying, “Honored to be involved with work that causes good trouble.”
In the book “What Is Anti-Racism?,” which Wing co-wrote, she allegedly says things that aren’t true, like that “the modern idea of ‘race’ was introduced by the National Party in Germany.” This is despite the fact that ideas about race and racism have been around for a long time, long before Nazi Germany.
She also wrote a book for kids called “What Does It Mean to Defund the Police?” with someone else.
When Wing was made chief in 2021, the DoD said in a release that she “has been involved with diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts for students and schools for many years and has written several books on the subject.”
In a video posted to DoDEA’s YouTube channel, Wing said that one of her jobs is to have “a holistic view of the agency in terms of recruitment and retention, development and promotion, teaching and learning, and then also climate.”
Fox News Digital found out that a diversity chief at the education branch of the Department of Defense said bad things about White people on Twitter, so she stopped using social media.
Kelisa Wing, who works at the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) as the chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer, called herself on Twitter a “woke administrator.” Fox News Digital said that Wing wrote tweets in which she called White people “Karens,” which is a bad word.
Wing’s Twitter account was set to private, and it looked like her LinkedIn account had been deleted. Fox News Digital had already saved a copy of her profile. It said that she had worked for the DoD for 16 years and that in December 2021, she was made DEI chief.
In June 2020, Wing said, “I’m tired of these [professional development] sessions with all these white people.”
“This woman had the nerve to say that black people can also be racist… I had to stop the meeting and tell Karen the TRUTH… We aren’t the most people, so we don’t have any power “she went on. “Caudacity” is a slang word that refers to the courage that White people show.
Another time, Wing answered a user who wrote, “I’m tired of 99% of white men in education and 95% of white women in education. Where can I go for a while to get away from white noise?”
In another post, Wing replied to a user who had criticized an article by the DoD’s chief of diversity that asked all teachers to help “dismantle racial oppression” and said that “racism is woven into the very fabric of our country.”
Wing has also called former President Donald Trump the “whole boy version of a Karen” and former Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos “the queen of Karens.”
When Wing was made chief in December 2021, the DoD said that Wing “has been working with schools on diversity, equity, and inclusion for many years and has written several books on the subject.”
A press release says that Wing is in charge of curriculum at DoDEA. She has worked with other people to make children’s books about defunding the police, Black Lives Matter, and White privilege.
“A lot of people are hurt by white privilege. The book “What is White Privilege? “said. It also said that White people should admit their privilege and that by getting things for free, they were hurting Black people.
It said, “The White community is where the work to end White privilege must begin.”
“Will you really feel good at the end of the race when you look back and see other people dealing with problems you didn’t even have?” the book went on.
Thomas Brady, the director of DoDEA, said, “Kelisa Wing is the perfect person to lead our efforts to build on the foundational work we’ve already done to support real change in our organization.”
“This new position will look at DoDEA as a whole to figure out and improve how diversity, equity, and inclusion are practiced in everything from curriculum and testing to hiring and professional development,” he said.
DoDEA “directs… education programs for school-aged children of Department of Defense personnel” and “provides support and resources to Local Educational Agencies throughout the United States that serve children of military families.”
Schools run by the DoDEA are in the United States, Europe, the Pacific, western Asia, the Middle East, Cuba, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Department of Defense to find out if anything had been done, but did not get a response right away.
