At a Palo Alto performance, Kwon proposed to his girlfriend, saying that it seems his plan to do so in public, put pressure on her to say yes, and scare her into silence had worked.

He only had to finish the wedding arrangements before she woke up. He went on to explain that the moment he handed her one of his favourite Survivor mementos and she didn’t make fun of him for it was the moment he knew it was true love.

Although Sophie’s age is unknown online, her spouse Yul is currently 47 years old. However, because of their similar ages, they have a good understanding of one another.

Kwon was born to South Korean immigrants in the Flushing neighbourhood of New York City’s Queens borough. He moved to Concord, California, and graduated valedictorian from Northgate High School.

He took part in water polo and track & field for the varsity. Kwon studied at Stanford University, where he graduated in 1997 with a B.S. in Symbolic Systems.
