Yellow Corporation trucking files for bankruptcy, closes

A major trucking company with service in the Quad Cities shut down over the weekend and filed for bankruptcy.

Yellow’s former terminal in Rock Island has been locked up, and the company ended operations Sunday. Its drivers belong to the Teamsters union, but OurQuadCities.com has not been able to connect with a representative to find out how many local drivers have lost their jobs.

Yellow’s major customers included Walmart and Home Depot.
